Staying In The Know
Here's a new band to watch: Tearwave. They are from upstate New York, and they blame their brooding yet dreamy sound on the brutal weather. They haven't released anything yet, but they put a few songs online. Let me know what you think.

They sound very, very good.
Good musicianship - good sound - pounding drums - golden vocals.
Lotus Flower is their feature song - it seems. They have a video up for it too. It reminds of a desolate land - somewhere between the Northeast US farmlands and the Northern European landscapes - the music fits the video well.
The lead guitar solo at the end of Emotional Coccoon is notable.
I'd suggest checking out the song Melinda also.
